(SOLSBERRY) - Just before 8 a.m. this morning, a crash occurred on State Road 45 near Timber Trace Drive that claimed the life of a Bloomington man.
According to Indiana State Police a 2006 Ford F250 pickup truck driven by 16-year-old Dawson Kinser, of Solsberry, crossed the center line. Once southbound in the northbound lane, the truck struck a 1996 Honda Accord, driven by 40-year-old Jamie Fidler, of Bloomington.
Fidler suffered fatal injuries as a result of the head-on collision.
Kinser was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for complaint of pain and a possible head injury.
This crash is still being investigated by ISP Trooper and Crash Reconstructionist Seth Parker.
Assisting agencies include Center Township Fire Department, Van Buren Township Fire Department, Greene County Ambulance Service, Greene County Coroner's Office and the Greene County Sheriff's Department.
