(ORLEANS) - The Dogwood Pedal is a brand new Century Ride that starts in historic downtown Orleans at the gazebo and takes cyclists through the best backroads Southern Indiana has to offer.
This ride is not for the faint of heart as only the strong will survive! Challenge hills like Dead Horse Hill will be seen plus many more surprises along the way including Tunnelton Tunnel in Lawrence County, Gus Grissom Memorial in Spring Mill State Park and Guthrie Mansion.
Orange County sights include the West Baden Dome and Pete Dye Gulf Course areas and French Lick Resort & Casino.
Included in registration is a meal for every rider and S.A.G. support. Also, a special shirt is included exclusively for Century Riders.
All other cyclists will have the option of purchasing a wick away Dogwood Pedal shirt with pre-registration. Shorter distances are available: 10 mile family route, 25, and 50 mile, but keep in mind the 25 mile and 50 mile also offer some challenges and hillwork.
This ride is being held in conjunction with the 2017 Orleans Dogwood Festival and is set for Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Pre-register and sign in from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. at the gazebo. Century riders please be on course by 8 a.m.
