Five Arrested After Police Investigate Drug Activity At Local Hotel

(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police officers arrested five people after police found meth at the Holiday Inn Express on Saturday.
At 10:28 p.m. Saturday, BPD received information that a group of people in a room at the hotel at 2800 Express Lane, were involved in drug activity.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, when officers arrived, 21-year-old Shanice McIntosh answered the door and allowed police into the room.
During the search police found meth, syringes and drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested:
- Matthew T. Johnson, 26, of Mitchell, on charges of dealing meth, possession of meth, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia, visiting a common nuisance and maintaining a common nuisance.
- Andrew S. Rankin, 33, of Mitchell, on charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance.
- Richard L. Jamison, 29, of Bedford, on charges of dealing meth, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a syringe, identity deception, maintaining a common nuisance, visiting a common nuisance. He was also wanted on a warrant for a parole violation.
- Joshua L. Davis, 27, of East Oolitic, on charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance.
- Shanice A. McIntosh, 21, of Bedford, on charges of possession of meth, unlawful possession of syringe and maintaining a common nuisance.
