(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County 4-H has some new, short-term learning opportunities for youth in grades 3-12.
These SPARKS Clubs are designed to spark interest in various topics and give youth at least six hours of instruction on the topic.
This is open to youth regardless of whether they are currently enrolled in 4-H or not. If you are not currently enrolled the fee is $20, and this will also give you the opportunity to participate in any other clubs, projects or activities open to Lawrence County 4-H members.
Registrations are not being accepted for the Culinary Arts for kids, which is being led by Dashia Meadows, Purdue Extension Office Manager and Lucinda Fletcher, 4-H parent and volunteer.
Children will learn the basic skills such as proper measuring, knife skills, ingredient substitutions, recipe conversion and of course cooking and sampling. A location is still be finalized.
