(MITCHELL) - An Orleans man was arrested last week after police say he shoved his girlfriend.
Lawrence County Police arrested 29-year-old Kyle McComb on Tuesday on two counts of domestic battery resulting in bodily injury, intimidation, obstruction of justice and invasion of privacy.
At 7:08 a.m., Lawrence County Police were called to a home in the 1300 block of Lawrenceport Main after a report of a domestic fight.
According to Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults, when officers arrived they found a woman bleeding from above her right eye and bruising on her chin.
The woman told police she went outside of the home because she had forgot something and came back in and found McComb looking at her phone.
"Mr. McComb allegedly pushed the woman to the floor, causing the laceration above her right eye, followed by another thrust, causing the her to hit her chin on the floor," says Chief Deputy Shoults.
McComb fled the home before police arrived.
The woman was treated by an AMR ambulance crew, then taken to Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital by a relative.
McComb was arrested later at Lawrence County Courthouse Plaza, where he was attending a court appearance for a previous domestic battery incident.
McComb is being held at the Lawrence County Jail without bond because he was out on bond on the previous domestic battery incident.
