(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are investigating the theft of more than $6,000.
A 74-year-old man called police after he found his 25-gallon metal milk jug he used to store change had been emptied.
Bloomington Police Capt. Steve Kellams says the man discovered the change missing during a move from his old home in the 2400 block of South Walnut Street when one of his helpers discovered the jug was empty.
The man told police that when he had cashed in the change from the jug the last time it totaled more than $6,000.
The case remains under investigation.
