(BLOOMINGTON) - The 2017 South Central Indiana AIDS Walk, hosted by the Community AIDS Action Group and presented by the IU School of Public Health, is tonight.
Join fellow community members for this "Light Up the Night" themed, family-friendly festival and walk with all proceeds going to Indiana University Health Community Health Positive Link.
The festival will start at 5:30 followed by the walk at 8 pm. There will be glow-in- the-dark activities including inflatables, music, face painting and more activities for all ages.
Admittance to the festival is free. It will be located at the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention Center parking lot on the east side of Third St. and College Ave.
Registration for the walk is $25 per person and includes a t-shirt, water bottle and a glow item. Individuals and teams will be able to register on-site beginning at 5:30 pm.
Any donations raised for the walk will also go to Positive Link, the preeminent provider of comprehensive prevention and holistic social services for those impacted by HIV in south central Indiana.
Parking is limited for this event. Walkers can park on city streets (metered parking) or in the Fourth Street Parking Garage (free for first three hours and after 6 pm).
