(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after she allegedly bit and scratched a man during a domestic fight at their home on Friday.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to a home at 306 Oolitic Road at 8:45 p.m. after a report of a verbal fight.
When officers arrived they talked to 27-year-old Stephanie Acton Dunlap. The male involved in the fight had left the scene.
"She told officers it was just a verbal fight and officers left the scene," Chief Parsley says.
Then at 12:09 a.m. on Saturday the male came to the police station to file a battery report.
"He claims he was scratched and bitten during the argument that happened on Friday night," Chief Parsley says. "He had scratch marks to his face, neck and chest and bit marks on his right forearm and left shoulder."
A warrant was issued for Acton Dunlap's arrest.
Officers went back to the home at 1:28 a.m. and arrested her on a charge of domestic battery.
