(BLOOMINGTON) - A man was stabbed after an argument between roommates escalated on Monday afternoon.
According to Bloomington Police, a 27-year-old man suffered a 4-inch wound under his left arm and was transported by ambulance to Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
According to Sgt. Ryan Pedigo, officers were called to an apartment in the 2700 block of South Walnut Street PIke at 1:43 p.m. on Monday.
The victim told police that he and a roommate had been in the kitchen, arguing about work, when his roommate grabbed a large kitchen knife and stabbed him. The two men work for the same construction crew.
"Those inside the apartment at the time of the incident gave similar accounts of what happened," Sgt. Pedigo added.
The roommate fled before police arrived.
The incident remains under investigation.
