(BLOOMINGTON) - A Heltonville man is facing theft charges after Bloomington Police say he stole more than $100 worth of food and electronics from Kroger.
According to Sgt. George Connolly, an officer was flagged down by the manager of the Kroger at 1175 South College Mall Road at 4:49 p.m. to report the shoplifting.
Police found 26-year-old Tyler King carrying a hand gun that he did not have a license for and the stolen items.
King was arrested on preliminary charges of theft and possession of a handgun without a license. He was booked into Monroe County Jail and is being held on a $10,000 surety, $500 cash bond.
