(SOLSBERRY) - A warrant has been issued for a Solsberry man after he allegedly punched a pregnant woman in the face while in a vehicle.
21-year-old Ryan Vandeventer is wanted on a felony charge of domestic battery with bodily injury to a pregnant woman; domestic battery committed in the presence of a child and a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
According to a Greene County Superior Court probable cause affidavit, in the early morning hours of May 4th, Vandeventer was angry due to a money disagreement with a friend and the woman had taken his cell phone. Vandeventer allegedly struck the woman three times in the face.
A juvenile witnessed the incident.
Vandeventer then drove the woman to her parent's residence.
When they arrived, the woman began honking the horn to alert her mother, because Vandeventer would not let her out of the vehicle. As she was honking the horn, Vandeventer elbowed her in the left jaw knocking it out of socket and her mom had to push it back in.
The woman says Vandeventer didn't mean to elbow the woman in the jaw, saying "it was an accident" cause he didn't want her blowing the horn.
Later in the day, Police were called to Vandeventer's residence after he allegedly threatened to burn everything and blow up the victim's father when they returned to the home to get the woman's belongings. Vandeventer had an AR rifle, which had been turned over to the witness after discharging a round into the air before he left the residence.
