(BEDFORD) - Three Bedford residents were arrested on multiple drug charges after a traffic stop Saturday afternoon.
At 3:43 p.m. a Lawrence County officers pulled over a white 1997 Cadillac after receiving a tip of possible drug activity.
The driver 51-year-old Steven Sanders, of 217 Middle Ave. was the driver. He had two passengers in the vehicle 47-year-old Gary Sergent, of 1009 P St. and 36-year-old Laci Johnson, of 161 Glory Lane.
A police canine alerted police to possible drugs in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle police found a spoon and scale, 6.2 grams of meth, 1.6 grams of heroin and 0.90 grams of marijuana.
Police arrested Sanders on charges of possession of meth, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana and visiting a common nuisance.
Sergent is facing charges of possession of meth, possession of a narcotic drug, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Johnson is facing a charge of visiting a common nuisance.
