(MONTGOMERY) - A Washington man was arrested after causing Barr Reeve to be locked down on Wednesday.
School officials saw what they say was a suspicious vehicle on school property and a man was on the basketball courts near the playground.
The school resource officer asked the man, later identified as 38-year-old David Jones, if the car was his and he said no. Jones was told he couldn't be on school grounds during the school day and he went away.
A check was made and it was found that Jones did own the car. He was found in Montgomery and arrested for obstruction of justice and false informing.
School Superintendent Travis Madison told the Washington Times Herald there was really no disruption at the school and says the matter was handled properly.
Parents were notified of the incident Wednesday afternoon.
