(BEDFORD) - The 2017 Limestone Heritage Festival will kick off Friday, June 30th in downtown Bedford.
Bedford Revitalization Inc. hosts the free Limestone Heritage Festival as a patriotic celebration for the community.
Events will include BBQ at the Quarry, with $4000 in cash prizes being awarded.
There will be live music at Harp Commons, limestone carving exhibits, a beer garden, food vendors including: Wink's BBQ, LLC, Kona Ice of Bloomington, Corey's "Dutch Boy Double Decker", Happy Matt's BBQ, JP Concessions and Judah's Catering/Belly Buster Concessions.
2nd Annual Bike Show at the Limestone Heritage Festival! Registration will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday with the Bike Show from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m..
Registration is $10 per bike and all proceeds benefit Bedford Revitalization Inc. Limestone Heritage Festival.
Judging will take place at 7 p.m.
The first 25 registered will receive a commemorative dash plaque.
3 Judging Categories will be:
Denson Avenue will take the stage at 6 p.m. Friday, followed by the Summertime Band from 8 until 11 p.m.
On Saturday, participants can purchase homegrown goodies at the Farmers Market then hang around and sample award-winning BBQ and then top off the evening with the parade stepping off at 6 p.m. followed by a performance by Soul Street from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. with fireworks at dusk.
