(BEDFORD) - The Limestone Heritage Festival has received official word from the Bedford Fire Chief that the storm drains have been cleared of any residue from the recent gas leak and the area is safe for launching the fireworks from downtown on Saturday, July 1st at 10 p.m.
Bedford Revitalization, Inc., the organization that coordinates the Limestone Heritage Festival, is grateful for the efforts of the Fire Department and Utilities Department of the City of Bedford.
Their efforts were above and beyond what was expected to make this weekend a success. Without the efforts of ALL departments within the City of Bedford and the support of Mayor Shawna Girgis, we would be unable to host the Limestone Heritage Festival.
The proceeds from this weekend's celebration are used to pay for the fireworks and the expenses of the parade and BBQ Competition.
All of the events of this weekend are for the enjoyment of our community.
Again, the July 1st Fireworks are officially ON!!!
