(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police are investigating an incident where one boy says another threw gasoline on him.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley the incident happened at 7:38 p.m. on Tuesday at 24th and J streets.
"The incident is under investigation," says Parsley. "We have conflicting stories on what happened."
Police say a boy reported another 12-year-old boy threw gas in his face.
"However the other boy and witnesses say the victim was chasing them with the bottle of gasoline threatening to pour it on them."
That is when the 12-year-old grabbed the bottle and the gasoline splashed out onto the face, eyes, neck and chest of the victim."
If the prosecutor decides to file charges the 12-year-old could be facing a criminal recklessness with a dangerous substance.
