Bedford Public Library Calendar Of Events For June

(BEDFORD) - Today children are invited to the Bedford Public Library to make their own nature prints.
Children ages 6-12 will explore nature and then make a print using clay and other natural materials.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. Explore nature then make a print using clay and natural materials.

- Wednesday, June 7: Happy Travelers invites the public to attend their 3rd Annual Open House from 5-7pm in the St. Vincent de Paul Shamrock Center. More details are on the Chamber calendar. Food or craft vendors who would like to participate should call Linda at 812-797-9555.
- Thursday, June 8: Bedford Public Library hosts Teen Animanga at 4 p.m. Open for all teens interested in manga, anime, and all things Japanese.
- Thursday, June 8: Bedford Parks Department hosts Ball Park Days; Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals. Cost is $25 per person for ticket and transportation, and they will depart from the Parks Department at 9:30am.
- Friday, June 9: Bedford Parks Department presents Under the Lights Swimming & Dive in Movie, where the public can swim late hours at the public pool and watch "Finding Dory" at the same time. Pool opens to the public at 6:30pm, movie begins at dusk. Pool will close at the end of the movie.
- Friday, June 9: Midwest Trail Ride & Outpost invite the public to "Sermon on the Mount" with Dr. Lew Sterrett on June 9th and 10th, 7-9pm both nights. Dr. Sterrett is an international speaker, certified counselor, and horse trainer. This faith-based presentation is open to all and free. Call 812-834-6686 for more information.
- Saturday, June 10: Hoosier Uplands presents Safe Night at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds from 6-10 p.m. Event is completely free and will include food, games, inflatables, photo booth, face painting, a magic show, and more!
- Saturday, June 10: Bedford Public Library invites you to play a game with their staff at Safe Night at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds, 6-9 p.m. All kinds of free fun.
- Saturday, June 10: Revestco announces their free semiannual Revestco Buyers and Sellers Workshop for anyone interested in buying or selling a home. Learn about the Real Estate transaction process from contract to close, 10-3pm, lunch provided. RSVP by calling 812-277-9732.

- Tuesday, June 13: Bedford Public Library hosts Preschool Discovery: Construction at 10 a.m. Preschoolers enjoy stories, songs, and special activities.
- Tuesday, June 13: Bedford Public Library invites you to Otaku Hour at 5 p.m. for ages 18+. Talk about anime, manga, and all things Japanese.
- Wednesday, June 14: Bedford Public Library invites you to Whip Up a Moon Crater at 2 p.m. for ages 6-12. Make a moon crater and do experiments. This is their first NASA @ My Library event.
- Thursday, June 15: Bedford Public Library will show you how to Create a Cat Tent, 2:30 p.m, for adults, teens and older children. Bring an adult size T-shirt. Learn to make a fun house for your cat.
- Thursday, June 15: Bedford Public Library will show you how to Create with a 3D Pen. Ages 10 and up can drop in from 4-6:30 p.m. to discover what they can create with a 3D pen.
- Saturday, June 17: Bedford Parks Department hosts "Get Outdoors Day" from 10-2pm at Murray Park. Play outdoors and learn with many activities including bird watching, shooting a bow, pioneer games, riding a horse, water safety, bounce houses, and gun safety. Free lunch for kids from 11-1.
- Saturday, June 17: Bedford Public Library invites you to play a game with Library staff at Get Outdoors Day at Murray Forest Park from 10-2 p.m. Free lunch for the kids from 11-1 p.m. Free games, fun.
- Saturday, June 17: The Mitchell Opera House presents Lick Creek Band, performing an array of rock, pop, and jazz music @ 7pm. For more information, visit: www.mitchelloperahouse.com.
- Sunday, June 18: Stone Crest Golf Course invites you to make a Tee Time for Dad to play on Father's Day and enjoy a Texas Roadhouse lunch at the golf course afterwards! 18 holes of golf, golf cart rental, and lunch all for $40. Call Stone Crest for more information, 812-276-4653.
- Monday, June 19: Bedford Public Library presents Breakout: Attack of the Locks for grades 3-5 at 6 p.m. Can you solve the clues to save the galaxy and break out of the locked room? Registration required.
- Tuesday, June 20: Bedford Public Library presents Active Play and Learn: Construction, 10am. Preschoolers will enjoy active play time with blocks and other children.
- Tuesday, June 20: Bedford Public Library invites you to 3D Makers: The Basics for ages 10-18, 4 p.m. Learn to use a 3D printer. Program is held at Stonegate Arts & Education Center, 405 I St. Registration required.
- Wednesday, June 21: Bedford Public Library offers Free Device Help: Tech Drop-in is provided from 2-4 p.m. for adults who want help downloading library materials to their mobile devices.
- Thursday, June 22: Bedford Public Library offers Free Device Help: Tech Drop-in is provided from 5-7 p.m. at Bedford Public Library for adults who want help downloading library materials to their mobile devices.
- Friday, June 22: The Lawrence County Rock Club announces the 52nd Annual Gem, Mineral, Fossil Show from June 22nd- June 25th at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds. Free admission and demonstrations, jewelry, beads, rocks, lapidary, rouckhourd and prospecting supplies and more. Find out more here.
- Saturday, June 24: Hoosier Hills Armed Forces Families asks that you save the date for the 8th Annual Support Our Troops & Vets Ride. Cost is a $25 donation per bike and includes meal, drinks and desert. For more information, view the event here or call 812-583-4736
