(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman suffered neck and head pain after her vehicle left the roadway, went through a fence, flipped and wedged between trees on Coveyville Road on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, officers received a call at 6:02 p.m. from the mother of 20-year-old Lynnsie Foddrill reported that Foddrill had been involved in an accident on Coveyville Road sometime between 2 and 2:30 p.m.
Foddrill was able to climb out of the driver's side window and walked to her grandfather's house where she called her mother. The mother then took Foodrill, who complained of neck and head pain, to IU Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
After being released from the hospital they contacted police to meet them at the accident scene.
Police met the women and drove to the accident scene at Coveyville Road, east of Wolf Creek Lane.
The officer found the vehicle off the roadway in the woods. The 2009 Pontiac G6 had flipped on the passenger side and was wedged between several trees.
Foddrill told police she was driving west on Coveyville Road when she meet another vehicle driving left of center. Foddrill swerved to avoid the vehicle and then over-corrected, traveled off the south side of the road, went through a fence, striking several trees when the vehicle flipped onto the passenger side and then wedged between some trees.
Police say there was heavy damage to the vehicle. Police alerted Jack Bartlett, the owner of the property, that the fence was damage. He responded to the scene to repair the section of fence to prevent his cattle from getting into the roadway.
