(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police were called to the 200 block of North Walnut Street after a reported of a man spreading counterfeit money.
When police arrived, a man told them he was approached by another man in front of Brothers Bar & Grill and asked if he could break a $20 bill.
The man did and then later realized the $20 bill was counterfeit.
Bloomington Police took the bill and confirmed that the money was counterfeit.
Police are investigating the incident and anyone with information about the man is asked to call Bloomington Police.
