(BEDFORD) - A home was consumed by fire on River Bluff Road early this morning.
Bedford Fire Department firefighters were alerted to the blaze at 12:05 a.m. at 3620 River Bluff Road.
According to firefighters the occupant Joshua Hackney woke to the odor of smoke and dialed 911.
The home was a total loss.
Firefighters were on the scene until 4:20 a.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
