(LINTON) - A Linton man was arrested after police say he broke into a restaurant and attacked a man inside.
According to Linton Police, 21-year-old Robert Hauck broke into the Linton Family Restaurant in the early hours of May 29 using a former employee's key.
Hauck is facing charges of residential break and entry, a Level 6 felony and battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
A man was lying on a couch in the office area of the business when Hauck entered the building and started repeatedly striking the man in the face. When the victim began defending himself he grabbed Hauck's leg and another unknown male helped him get free and they fled the building.
Police say the man suffered a large amount of redness and swelling and above and around his right eye. He was also bleeding from his mouth and there were blood stains on his clothing and on the floor.
The victim told police that he had fired a female who worked at the restaurant and Hauck had used her key to enter through the kitchen area.
Police used Facebook to find the former employee and the relationship with Hauck.
Hauck told police he went to the restaurant because he claims the former employee had been sexually harassed by the victim prior to her termination. Hauck told police he was tired of no one standing up to the victim.
