(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell woman was arrested Tuesday night after her husband called police saying she had injured him.
Lawrence County Police were called to 317 Woodville Road at 7:10 p.m. after a man called reporting that his wife had battered him.
When officers arrived they found that the male had swelling to his face.
According to Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults, the man told police that he and his wife had been in a verbal argument. The man was sitting in a chair when his wife, 50-year-old Andrea Rose, walked up to him and hit him twice in the mouth with her closed fist.
The man then called police.
Rose was then arrested on a charge of domestic battery and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
