Speed Limit Reduction Along Highway 5

(CRANE) - Beginning today, the speed limit along Highway 5 from Highway 528 to the Crane Gate will be reduced to 35 miles per hour.

This reduction is part of an effort to preserve the Heaney Bridge, a historical structure slated for rehabilitation.

Officials say reducing the speed will in turn reduce vibrations on the bridge..

New speed limit signs are in place.
