(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after she was thrown from her motorcycle after she rear-ended a Jeep on Saturday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, 26-year-old Kayla Dalton of Bedford was traveling west on 16th Street approaching the construction zone near Spider Creek bridge when a 2016 Jeep Renegade stopped in front of her.
Dalton attempted to swerve to avoid striking the Jeep in the rear, but was unsuccessful and clipped the rear of the vehicle.
She was thrown from her 2018 Harley Davidson XL8 motorcycle.
Dalton complained of abdomen and hip pain and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say the driver of the Jeep, a 16-year-old male, stopped after the vehicle in front of him stopped suddenly and that is when Dalton's motorcycle struck the rear of his vehicle.
