Positions Open At Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence Co.

(BEDFORD) - The Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County is looking to fill three open positions.

The positions open are Development Coordinator, Program Coordinator for the Mitchell Junior High School School and Program Coordinator for the Limestone Unit/Lincoln Elementary.

The Development Coordinator's main goal is to generate fundraising income and provide writing support for foundation and corporate grant requests and acknowledgment of donor gifts.

Requirements for the Development Coordinator include the following:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
A minimum of two years work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar not-for-profit organization with an emphasis on fundraising, marketing, management, budgeting, community and public relations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of accounting principles as they relate to fundraising issues

The two Program Coordinator positions will implement, supervise and evaluate all Elementary or Jr. High School programs and activities in the Clubhouses provided in program areas of Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.

One of these positions will be housed in the Mitchell Jr. High School and the other one will be at the Boys and Girls Club Limestone Unit and Lincoln Elementary.

These positions require the following:

A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club of similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people.
Thorough knowledge of youth development
Demonstrated ability in working with Middle School youth or elementary youth depending on position
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to train, supervise and motivate staff
Ability to deal effectively with member's discipline problems (Guidance & Discipline)
Demonstrated leadership attributes
