Crowning Of 2017 Lawrence County Fair Queen Scheduled For Friday

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Fair kicks off Friday with the crowning of the 2017 Lawrence County Fair queen and her princess.
The event will be held at the Fairgrounds Expo Hall at 7 p.m. Admission is $3.
The 2016 Queen, Mary Ellen Spreen will pass on the crown to one of the six young ladies.
Spreen, who is the daughter of Bill and Kristi Spreen of Williams, was also a finalist in the 2016 Indiana State Fair queen contest.
Queen contestants:
- Lian Dodds, 18, of Norman, is the daughter of Tammy Dodds.
- Sidney Faubion, 19, of Heltonville, is the daughter of Jay and Lori Faubion.
- Kara Jones, 19, Bedford, is the daughter of Kimberly and Kevin Jones.
- Kara Parkes, 18,of Mitchell, is the daughter of Kim and Kenny Parkes.
- Baili Peterson, 18, of Bedford, is the daughter of John and Terri Peterson.
- Kelsey Walton, 20, of Bedford, is the daughter of Lydia and Jim Mosier and Travis Walton.
The following are competing for the title of Lawrence County Fair Princess:
Grace Fulkerson, 17, of Bedford, is the daughter of B.J. and Christa Fulkerson.
Autumn Greer, 17, of Mitchell, is the daughter of Kevin and Gail Greer.
Sapphire Deckard, 15,of Heltonville, is the daughter of Sara Wessel, Michael and Rachel Deckard.
Trenady Shaw, 15, of Bedford, is the daughter of Mariah Shaw Todd and TJ Todd.
Kaity Woods, 14, of Springville, is the daughter of Kimberly Woods and Seane Woods.
The 2017 Lawrence County Fair Schedule:
There is a $5 parking fee after 4 p.m. Weekly pass $15
- Laser Tag July 17- 22 only $2
- Free entertainment nightly
- No over night stays on fairgrounds
- No alcohol on fairgrounds
