(PAOLI) - The Paoli School Board voted Friday to hire Gerald Jackson as interim superintendent for Paoli Community Schools.
Jackson, a Paoli resident, will begin the position today. He retired two years ago after serving 19 years as West Washington School superintendent and is a former agriculture teacher at Paoli High School.
According to school board minutes, Jackson was hired after the school board voted in June to suspend Superintendent Casey Bewster.
Bewster has since resigned from the position.
Paoli School board officials say they will now begin a search for a permanent superintendent.
