(BEDFORD) - Robbie Compton Jr. was on a break at work when he listened to a voicemail from Holly Davis, President of Ad-Venture Media and Mitchell Community Broadcasting, stating that he was the Summer Cash Dash Grand Prize Winner of $1,000.
The Summer Cash Dash was the radio station group's summer promotion where listeners had ten chances to win $100 and one chance at $1,000.
Compton said he was skeptical that the phone call was real.

After seeing the Facebook posts from the pages of Super Oldies 105.5, 1340 AM WBIW and Z102, he knew it was real and had to keep the excitement down when he went back into work from his break.
"I'd like to buy some car parts and maybe go to dinner," said Compton talking about what he would like to do with his money.
He picked up his $1,000 on his birthday.
Compton registered for the contest at Bedford Winnelson Company after he heard they were a registration destination on the radio.
