(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured Saturday morning after his vehicle struck a utility police head-on.
According to a Bedford Police report, 25-year-old Damien Robbins, was traveling south on G Street in a 2015 Hyundai Accident and was attempting to put a cup into a drink holder when the cup tipped forward. Robbins told police he reached over to grab the cup and that is when the car ran off the road, striking the utility pole.
Police say Robbins head struck the windshield breaking it. Robbins suffered bleeding to his mouth. He told police he had received a serious head trauma a few years ago. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
