(BLOOMINGTON) - The City of Bloomington begins the 2018 budget process with departmental hearings in front of Common Council from August 14 through August 17, beginning at 6 p.m. each evening.
Each City department will present its proposed budget as per the following schedule:
Monday, August 14
Human Resources, Legal, Information and Technology Services, Telecommunications, City Council, City Clerk, Controller, Office of the Mayor
Tuesday, August 15
Police Department, Police Pension, Fire Department, Fire Pension, Public Transit, Utilities
Wednesday, August 16
Bloomington Housing Authority, Housing and Neighborhood Development, Economic and Sustainable Development, Community and Family Resources, Parks and Recreation
Thursday, August 17
Planning and Transportation, Public Works General, Animal Control, Fleet Maintenance, Traffic Control and Streets, Sanitation, Facilities
City department heads anticipate addressing city goals, operations, metrics, and various ongoing city projects.
The public is invited to watch the budget presentations on CATS public access television or in Council Chambers in City Hall, located at 401 N. Morton St.
