(BLOOMINGTON) - Four schools on Bloomington’s east side were placed on lockdown Monday after police searched for an 18-year-old man who threatened to stab a girl.
Police began their investigation after a male called police saying he found his teenage daughter injured in the 2300 block of East Second Street and that an 18-year-old man reportedly had threatened to stab the girl over a $400 debt.
Police then alerted Rogers, Binford, St. Charles and Pinnacle Elementary Schools which were placed on lockdown for about an hour while police investigated the incident.
Police Sgt. Ryan Pedigo says officers arrested the 18-year-old male and seized the knife.
