(SWITZ CITY) - A grain bin explosion was caught on video Monday in Greene County.
No one was hurt when an overhead tank filled with more than 10,000 bushels of corn collapsed as the bin was being unloaded into a truck. The bin spilled roughly 93,000 bushels of corn, took out a power-line, and the grain dust and electrical spark created a fireball that caused extensive damage.
Jordan White, the owner, says he lost about 10,000 bushels of grain.
White is not sure why the bin collapsed saying he believes there was a flaw in the metal. The bin was only five years old.
The video, which was posted to his Facebook page, has had more than 1 million views.
