(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Community Foundation (LCCF) is offering 501c3 organizations, community institutions, and schools the opportunity to apply for a grant for out-of- school STEM projects or programs in Lawrence County.
The STEM programming must occur outside of the traditional school day and promote opportunities for hands-on learning in STEM that adds to or enhances school experiences at the elementary, middle, or high school level.
LCCF was awarded the Advancing Out-of- School STEM Learning Grant from Regional Opportunity Initiatives, Inc. to support science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The Advancing Out-of- School STEM Learning Grant applications must be delivered to the Community Foundation at 1324 K Street, Bedford, IN by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20th to be considered for funding.
This is a separate grant cycle, only for out-of-school STEM projects and programs, and organizations must use the STEM-specific grant application.
Forms are available at the LCCF website:
Awards will be distributed in early November 2017 and projects must be completed and final reporting received within one year.
Grants of $2,500 or more may be subject to a challenge, meaning the organization may be responsible for raising matching funds.
