(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after police responded to a call of a domestic fight at a home in the 260 block of Kings RIdge Road on Friday afternoon.
According to Lawrence County Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults, when officers arrived a female victim told police 43-year-old Arthur Tincher had grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the ground causing her pain.
"The victim also suffered minor bleeding to a finger," Chief Deputy Shoults added. "Tincher left the scene prior to officers arrival and the incident was witnessed by children under 16 years of age."
After officers left the home Tincher returned to the residence and officers were called again.
"They were able to locate him a short distance away," Chief Deputy Shoults says.
Tincher was arrested on charges of domestic violence in the presence of a child under 16 and possession of marijuana under 30 grams and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
