(SCOTTSBURG) - A 27-year-old Scottsburg woman was arrested Tuesday after police found heroin.
Shortly after 2:30 p.m. an Indiana State Trooper Nathan Abbott made a traffic stop on Interstate 65 on a blue van for a traffic infraction.
During the traffic stop ISP K-9 Teague alerted there were possible drugs in the vehicle.
During a search of the van police found used syringes, plastic baggies and other drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested of 27-year-old Alexandrea Grut.
Once at the jail, police found Grut had hidden heroin in a body cavity.
Grut was charged with possession of heroin, maintaining a common nuisance, unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia.
