(BEDFORD) - A Springville man was injured after his motorcycle was struck by another vehicle on Saturday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, 57-year-old Chester Sykes was traveling north on I Street when his 1996 Suzuki was stuck by a van at the intersection of I and Sixth streets.
Police say 19-year-old Jacob Watson of Bloomington, who was driving a 1998 Pontiac Transport van east on Sixth Street, failed to yield at the stop sign and collided with Sykes' motorcycle.
Sykes, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered incapacitating injuries and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
