(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Tripleton Pike on Monday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 64-year-old Pamela Dack of Shoals was traveling north on Tripleton Pike and had stopped her 2007 Pontiac Vibe to turn into a driveway in the 110 block of Tripleton Pike.
At the same time, 19-year-old Ruby Martin of Shoals, was traveling south on Tripleton Pike and told police she saw Dack's car stopped in the roadway. Martin told police as she came closer to the car it pulled in front of her 1998 Saturn. Martin told police Dack did not have on her turn signal.
Police say the two vehicles collided head-on.
Police say there were light skid marks on the roadway where Martin attempted to avoid the collision.
Martin and her passenger, 19-year-old Shylynn Eads of Shoals, both suffered an abrasion to their heads. They were both taken by personnel vehicle to a hospital for treatment. Two other passenger in Ead's car, Ellie and Aubree Smith were not injured.
Dack and her two passengers Aubree and Emily Wade were not injured.
