(BEDFORD) - Two motorists complained of pain following an accident Thursday afternoon at US 50 and Dixie Highway.
According to a Lawrence County police report, 85-year-old Marjorie Bartlett of Bedford was traveling west on US 50 in a 2001 Ford Focus. At the same time, 50-year-old James Mansell of Bloomington was traveling east on US 50.
Police say Bartlett crossed the median and the eastbound lane of traffic into the path of Mansell's 2011 Infinity G37 Coupe in an attempt to enter the parking lot at Hubler Chevrolet Buick GMC.
Police say Mansell was unable to avoid the collision.
After the collision, Bartlett's car spun around. Mansell's car continued through some rip-rap and up into the car lot striking a 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck.
Bartlett complained of body pain and Mansell complained of back pain following the incident.
