(MEDORA) - Volunteers are needed for a cleanup event Saturday at the Medora Brick Plant off West County Road 425S, southwest of Medora.
Grounds cleanup will be the primary focus. Clean up will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with yard cleanup equipment, including mowers and weed eaters, may bring it to help that day.
Several work days have been conducted at the former brick plant site since June 2016. A feasibility study is being performed to help determine what kind of potential uses might be found for the 6-acre property. Indiana Landmarks, a statewide organization that focuses on preserving historical properties, is assisting with those efforts.
Volunteers also are being accepted to serve on the Medora Brick Plant and Historical Sites committee.
T-shirts are available for sale at the Jackson County Visitor Center, State Bank of Medora and Medora Kwik Stop.
