(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after a woman reported he had hit her and then attempted to pick her up by the neck.
Bedford Police arrested 47-year-old Samuel Watson of Bedford on a charge of battery causing injury.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley a woman came to the police station at 11:14 p.m. on Monday to report she had been injured by Watson after arguing over guest at his home.
"The woman says she was hit in the side of the head with a closed fist and that Mr. Watson placed his hands around her neck and lifted her from the floor," Chief Parsley added. "The woman had visible bruising to the left side of her face and around her neck."
