(BLOOMINGTON) - A 55-year-old Bloomington man was killed Monday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a Jeep Wrangler.
Allen D. Kinser was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on North Hartstrait Road. He was wearing a helmet, according to a press release from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
According police, the driver of a Jeep Wrangler, a 42-year-old woman, was stopped in traffic by a flagger from Townsend Tree Service who was working in the area.
The woman told police that she saw the motorcycle approaching her vehicle from behind. Police say Kinser didn't slow his 2001 Harley-Davidson and collided into the rear of the Jeep.
Ellettsville Police Department and Fire Department and medical personnel from IU Health Bloomington Hospital, assisted at the scene.
