(BLOOMINGTON) - The City of Bloomington Animal Shelter will be closed to the public on Monday, September 18th due to construction-related activities.
During this time, services will be limited. If you find a stray, are missing an animal, or need assistance from an Animal Control Officer, call the Shelter at (812) 349-3492 and please leave a message. Staff will be checking messages, and arrangements can be made to drop off the found animal at the shelter or be picked up by an Animal Control Officer. If you have an animal-related emergency, such as an aggressive or injured animal, please call (812) 339-1444 and an Animal Control Officer will be dispatched to assist.
The Shelter will resume its normal hours of operation on Tuesday, September 19. The City of Bloomington Animal Shelter is open for visitation on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays from noon to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Adoptable animals and found animals can be seen on the Shelter website at bloomington.in.gov/animal-shelter.
