(OOLITIC) - The Lawrence County Hazard Mitigation Steering Committee will host a public information and strategy planning session at Noon on September 25th at the Oolitic Fire Station, at 5 Hoosier Avenue in Oolitic.
Over the last several months, a planning committee consisting of community members has worked with The Polis Center at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) to update a Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan for Lawrence County. Once the plan is updated, the committee will submit it to FEMA for approval. The committee will also work to develop funding for any mitigation activities that are identified.
