(SHOALS) - Two people were arrested Tuesday in Shoals after a narcotics buy in the parking lot of a gas station.
Martin County Police arrested 29-year-old Tiffany Compton and 20-year-old Josi Hobson.
Compton is facing charges of dealing in a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, possession of a Schedule II and IV controlled substances and maintaining a common nuisance.
Hobson is facing a charge of visiting a common nuisance.
The controlled buy happened at 11:10 a.m. when a plain clothes Martin County officer observed the informant purchase four Alprazolam pills from Compton in the parking lot and then notified other officers standing by in the area.
Officers with the Martin County Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police pulled in behind the Compton's white Kia passenger car and removed both Compton and Hobson from the vehicle.
Compton was searched and police found the marked currency, provided by police, used in the drug buy. They also found a zip lock baggie under the driver's seat that contained other pills identified as Acetaminophen and Oxycodone.
