(BEDFORD) - Three people were arrested after a traffic stop in the Walgreens parking lot on Saturday afternoon.
A Bedford police officer noticed the vehicle at M and 16th streets was being driven by 36-year-old Stephen Staggs, who has a suspended driver's license.
"The officer stopped the vehicle and arrested Mr. Staggs," says Chief Dennis Parsley. "Officers then determined the backseat passenger, Austin Smith, was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear and he was arrested."
Officers then did an inventory of the vehicle and found numerous drug paraphernalia items including smoking pipes and straws. All of the items tested positive for drug residue. Officials also found meth and marijuana inside the vehicle.
Police then arrested the front seat passenger, 52-year-old Tina Bundy.
Staggs, of Orleans, is facing charges of driving while his driver's license was suspended, possession of both meth and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.
Smith, 37, of Bedford and Bundy, 52, of Oolitic, are facing charges of possession of meth and marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.
