(BLOOMINGTON) - Two men were rushed to the hospital after an altercation and stabbing in the 2330 block of South Winslow Court on Saturday night.
Bloomington Police were called to the scene at 11:06 p.m. and found one man bleeding from his right shoulder.
According to police, a 19-year-old man was arguing with his 24-year-old wife when she called a family member for help.
She told police she was being threatened by her husband who had a pocket knife.
Then the family member arrived, the two men got into an argument and the 19-year-old allegedly stabbed the 48-year-old family member twice in the lower left side and once in the right side.
The 19-year-old claims he stabbed the other man in self-defense saying the family member had had attacked him with a car wrench.
The 19-year-old then claims he gave the pocket knife to his wife, who then stabbed him in the right shoulder.
But she told police her husband had dropped the knife during the altercation with her family member and she picked it up and stabbed her husband in the shoulder.
Both men were taken to Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
The case remains under investigation.
