(BEDFORD) - The annual United Way Day of Caring is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
They are looking for 50 to 75 volunteers to help spruce up Friendship Park , the Bluejacket Trail and downtown Mitchell in in advance of the Mitchell Persimmon Festival Sept. 23-30th.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Solutions Center, located at 1490 Main Street in Mitchell.
Work will begin at 8:30 a.m. with lunch served at 12:30 p.m.
Please dress for the weather and wear only close toed shoes. Bring your own work gloves if you need them. Water and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
