(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Park Department presents “All About Birds” as part of the department’s Outdoor Series.
The free event will be held on Nov. 7 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Wilson Park Shelter House. Those attending can reserve a seat by calling the park office by Nov. 3 at (812) 275-5692.
Those attending will learn from retired Wildlife Biologist John Castrale, about birds and discuss their importance to the environment. Castrale has spent more than 33 years to help restore the populations of eagles, peregrien falcons, osprey and other state endangered birds. He serves on the Indiana Non-game Bird Technical Advisory Committee and the board of the Midwestern Peregrine Society.
The program is co-sponsored by the parks department, Purdue Extension, the U.S. Forest Service, Lawrence County Soil & Water Conservation District, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
