(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was injured in a kitchen fire at Tulip Tree Apartments on Wednesday afternoon.
Bloomington Fire Department firefighters were called to the apartment around 4 p.m. located at 2451 East 10th Street
When they arrived they found a cooking fire in one of the apartment on the 8th floor.
According to Bloomington Fire Department public information officer Sgt. Brandon Hudson, one person suffered facial burns, but declined medical attention from the IU Health Bloomington Hospital ambulance crew saying he would have a friend drive him to the hospital.
Firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes and all of the residents were allowed to return to their apartments.
