(DUGGER) - Police say the manhunt for 48-year-old Bradley Joe Collins is over.
Police have arrested Collins, of Dugger, after he stole a grain truck from Hymera. As the truck entered Sullivan County the Dugger Town Marshal intercepted the vehicle. Officers from the Greene County Sheriff's Department, Jasonville Police and Sullivan County deputies assisted.
The grain truck was stopped as it pulled into Collins' driveway northwest of Dugger. Collins exited the vehicle and surrendered.
The owners of the grain truck had reported it stolen around 3 p.m. Monday. Collins also allegedly burglarized a barn.
Police say a homeowner came home last week to find an unknown male in his home in the Cass area, just northwest of Dugger. The male, who police say was Collins, fled the residence before police arrived.
A short time later there was a report of a stolen pickup, which was later crashed on State Road 159 south of Dugger. The driver, who police say was Collins, fled the scene on foot.
Property from a separate burglary was found inside the abandoned pickup truck.
Early Sunday morning, a 1997 Dodge Pickup truck was reported stolen. Two local men had been hunting and when they returned to the truck which was parked along a county road, they found it missing. Police have not yet proven Collins stole the vehicle.
According to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department Sheriff Clark Cottom, Collins was wanted on warrants for burglary and theft in Sullivan County; and in Vigo County for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest with a deadly weapon, two counts each of dealing meth and possessing meth, and dealing marijuana. Additional charges are pending.
